Yesterday morning I went to Gorilla Yoga, which is basically this really cool group of people that practice yoga in various places around the Cities. Yesterday was at the Science Museum, and since I got there late I was “stuck” out in the hallway overlooking the Mississippi!
Today I went hiking at Minnehaha Falls (the same place I went this winter with all of the ice) and it was awesome! It’s been really cloudy/rainy/cold lately, but today it was 65 and sunny, so it was the perfect day for a hike and some photography. The creek and river are really flooded right now, so it was really interesting to see that up close.

so. I’m training for a 5k. [my first!] it’s less than 31 days away…yikes.
any training/race day tips?
I just read an article about “healthier Easter baskets” which suggested carrots instead of candy…I’m all for healthy eating, but hey, it’s Easter, calm down.
“poppin’ Advil” just doesn’t have the same ring as “poppin’ champagne”
a) I should always write things down. in the same place, not on random scraps of paper/word documents/back of receipts. really, my life would be much easier if I could remember this. or if I ever actually checked my planner after writing things down…
b) despite attempts to be virtuous and not eat salt and vinegar chips/drink Diet Coke, sometimes you just need Jimmy John’s with all the glory of that crunchy-tangy chip and the bubbling joy of a soda
c) I really want to start apartment hunting instead of job hunting
d) this weekend, I watched The Graduate, This Is Spinal Tap, multiple episodes of “Buffy” and “Glee” and I didn’t even have to get up to switch DVDs. Thank you, Netflix.
e) I shouldn’t be allowed to shop.

3. Don’t even think about getting married until you’re 30.
4. Don’t wait for the signal. Just kiss her or him.
5. Grab life by the crack and lick the crap out of it.

Glee season 1 is officially streaming on Netflix. I’ve been sitting here watching it for four hours now…and that’s my Sunday night.
